Dogapalooza 2011Seminar Subject Matter:

Ethical and humane prevention, resolution, and management of dog and cat common behavior problems, including de-coding communication signals for accurate interpretation and understanding of underlying motivational factors.

 

Seminar Information:

Dr Jill Goldman is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviourist. She will be conducting a seminar on a number of subjects including:

  • Methods to Properly Assess a  Dog 
  • Advanced Canine Body Language
  • The Difference Between a Behaviourist and a Dog Trainer
  • How to Modify Canine Behaviour Using Appropriate Handling Techniques 

Please Note: Time has been allocated for a Q&A session in the last half of the seminar. CEU credits may apply for veterinarians and vet technicians. 


Background Information on Dr. Jill Goldman, CAAB:

Dr. Goldman earned her Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Psychology at Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia) studying the behavior of wolves, and her Ph.D. at York University (Toronto, Ontario).

Dr Goldman provides consulting, training, forensic, and educational services to animal care practitioners, litigation attorneys, pet parents, animal welfare organizations, shelters, and educational institutions across Southern California, the United States, and Canada.  Carleton’s Place is founded on progressive accurate scientific leading edge information about animals: how they learn, why they behave the way they do, and how to treat them for safe and rewarding relationships.  Ethical and humane methods only are used and promoted to nurture psychological and behavioral health of animals.
